Federico García Lorca. The Poet Comes Back to NY
The structure of Poet in New York is an opposition to civilization that the poet dialectically confronts to denounce the dehumanization of modern society. Lorca vindicates freedom, A return to nature against the alienation of the industrial era while at the same time denounces the oppression suffered by disadvantaged classes, the marginalized, the oppressed as well as those affected by racial segregation. In this performance, an open dialog with the audience, Federico García Lorca characterized by Antonio Campos, will address topics such as love, his childhood, poetry, songs, flamenco and New York through the soundtrack of his life with the voice of Clara Montes and the guitar of José Luis Montón.
