We all know who Borges was but visual artist Xul Solar is not as well known. The literary Borges and the artistic Xul Solar lived parallel lives. They both were educated in Europe and lived there for many years, both returned to Argentina in the roaring twenties, and both propelled the argentine vanguard while confronting the political crisis of the country.
Borges and Xul Solar were great friends and led similar paths, one with words and concepts, the other with colors and images, both with metaphors that illuminate the magic of memory, of existence and transcendence.
This talk aims at highlighting these paths, combining ideas and images, describing the fork in the road that separates their lives only to join them later, as two friends who take on the investigation of the mystery of humankind. With the participation of Julio Ortega & Julio Crivelli.
