Around the World with Garnacha

Garnacha is known all over the world by its French name Grenache, but it is native to Aragón in Spain, whence it spread to Rioja, the rest of the country, the south of France, the Mediterranean, Australia and the Americas. Led by the powerful wines of Priorat, the past two decades have seen a strong revival of this grape that has resulted in unexpected and fascinating wines in Montsant, Aragón, Rioja, and now in the areas around Madrid. In this seminar we will compare the styles of the best Garnacha-based wines from all over the world.
