The Spanish Wave presents this time in a showcase & Fiesta aseven spanish and international spanish speaking artists WET IGUANAS (Spain), MIRAGE (Spain), LAS PETUNIAS (Spain), LOS PETARDOS (Puerto Rico), EL CULTO CASERO (Paraguay), BARBER FOR THE QUEEN (Quebec,Canadá) y MENGERS (México) SHOWCASE & FIESTA. 


If last year AIRU, LOS PREMIOS, REME and NIÑO DISCO participated, leaving a great taste in the North American festival and demonstrating the level of emerging artists from Spain, this 2025 Spanish-speaking artists will unite in, three Spaniards, one from Puerto Rico, one from Paraguay, one from Mexico and another from Montreal, who will perform at a tremendous party & showcase where the delegates and professionals accredited to the festival as well as international fans will be able to meet, also this year, the artists and their teams presented by The Spanish Wave. 

This year, the event will happen at BAKER FALLS on the Lower East Side, a music venue, nightclub and bar in New York City. Located on Avenue A in the East Village, a neighborhood with a rich musical history and cultural significance, lends its space for Spanish events to take place, featuring performances by WET IGUANAS (Spain), an indie rock quartet from Barcelona that combines elements of classic rock and alternative rock sung in Spanish and English. MIRAGE (Spain), trio from Madrid of alternative rock with influences from both 90s rock and Latin-jaz, EL CULTO CASERO (Asunción, Paraguay), band that fuses their characteristic indie rock sound with touches of pop and hip hop, LAS PETUNIAS (Spain), a female trio from Madrid whose music is an explosive fusion of punk rage and pop melodies, not afraid to be vulnerable or irreverent. From Puerto Rico LOS PETARDOS , punk rock with slackers, BARBER FOR THE QUEEN (Montreal, Quebec) fast-paced glam, disco punk with a record that is a mix of multiple genres combined with their love for funky disco music and MENGERS (México), a groundbreaking proposal with a repertoire as chaotic as captivating, wandering between punk rock, hardcore and psychedelia. 

To top off the party until 3 am DJ MOSKITO (Spain/New Zeland) y DJ RUBY Q (Spain /Australia) y HANNA PLUM (Spain) will have the entire New Colossus festival dancing to garage, psych, cumbia, punk, boogaloo, techno, guaracha, house, etc., etc.

With the participation of Spanish-speaking artists, through The Spanish Wave, in this edition of The New Colossus as well as in SXSW, the union of the cultural roots between Spain and America is reinforced, strengthening relations and solidifying the synergies of young artists between the two continents.
