Rioja Now, From Gran Reserva to Modern Styles

2025 marks the 100th anniversary of the official recognition of Rioja as a Denominación de Origen (D.O.), Spain’s term for wine appellation. Rioja was the first wine region in Spain to be granted that status, and one of the first ones in the world. Then it’s only fitting that we start our 2025 wine program with a seminar about Rioja, its history and current situation. This seminar also sets the tone for the rest of the year in which we will dedicate multiple wine seminars to this region, the most important one in the wine history of Spain.
