Viridiana Viridiana

Viridiana is a 1961 Spanish-Mexican film directed by Luis Buñuel, starring Silvia Pinal, Francisco Rabal and Fernando Rey, in the main roles. It is based on the novel Halma, by Benito Pérez Galdós, and was conceived as a continuation of the film Nazarín (1959), also directed by Buñuel.

Sinopsis: Don Jaime, an old Spanish nobleman, has lived a retired and solitary life on his estate since the death of his wife, which occurred on the same day as their wedding. One day he receives a visit from his niece Viridiana, a novice in a convent, who bears a great resemblance to his wife.
