Trip to Timbuktu

Ana and Lucho are two adolescent lovers who live in Peru. Their story and their transition from childhood to the teenage years is a story of how their country, Peru, went through changes during the 1980s. For the amorous couple, love is their only refuge to survive in midst of the violence, and the lack of the opportunities that they find themselves in. Their refuge provides them with an imaginary homeland as well, known by the name of Timbuktu. Sadly, the utopia they live in, collapses as the reality strikes hard their imaginary world.
