The work and language of Almudena Grandes: An introduction

Almudena Grandes (1960-2021) is one of the most original writers in Spain today. Her work is diverse, bold and rooted in the soul of the country. Her language is a source of indepth knowledge about contemporary Spanish culture and the Castilian language. In this talk, the author and her work will be discussed from the point of view of an Indian literary writer and translator who is also a Hispanist.
