Beyond land Art
The New Delhi centre in collaboration with the cultural centres of the European Union (The Alliance Française, the Austrian Cultural Forum, the Embassy of the Netherlands, the Italian Cultural Centre and the Embassy of Switzerland in New Delhi) presents the SaLadakh project. Sa was founded with a passion and respect for landscapes, the environment and communities and with the aim of engaging people from all walks of life, particularly young adults and the next generation, the future custodians of the earth. Sa's values have been centred on the principles of climate optimism: "Climate optimism is not about denying what we can see with our own eyes or ignoring our pain for what we have lost. It is about understanding that we know how to prevent things from getting worse and that we are making progress." As such, it aims to inspire intercultural, multigenerational and multidisciplinary dialogue and exchange, appreciation and care for the natural world through "regenerative art." The event will consist of screening of a documentary, Beyond the Art of Earth directed by Sumit Sharma followed by a panel discussion featuring Ms. Monisha Ahmed, Ms. Vibha Galhotra, the Director of the documentary Sumit Sharma, Karma Sonam Tashi. The moderator will be Raki Nikahetiya.
