Josefina Báez (Dominican Republic / USA). Writer, performer, theater director and devotee. Founder and director of Latinarte / Ay Ombe Theater (April 1986). Her observations of everyday life in India, her practice of yoga and meditation, as well as her learning of the Kathak and the Kuchipudi, are reflected in the many facets of her work. She has led retreats and workshops in Bangalore and at Kolkata's Jadavpur University. Her stage work has been presented at the India International Center in New Delhi. She has published the Dominicanish books (translated into Bengali in 2008), Comrade, Bliss ain’t playing, Dramaturgy I & amp; II, Like One / Como uma, Levente no. Yolayorkdominicanyork, De Levente. 4 texts for performance theater, Song of Fullness, Latin In (autology anthology) and Why is my name Marysol? (story for girls and boys). In parallel to her publications, she has developed the Autology of performance method, a practice for the development of creativity based on autobiography and the well-being of the doer.
