Queer Connection Spain-India
In celebration of Mes del Orgullo 2025 (Pride Month), Instituto Cervantes in New Delhi and Spanish Embassy in India will host a multidisciplinary cultural program showcasing queer creation in diverse fields such as visual arts, music, comics, film, and literature.
Queer Connection Spain-India is the opening event of the program. The final mural created by Aravani Art Project will be presented after a week of directly intervening on one of the walls of the Instituto Cervantes exhibition hall, drawing inspiration from elements of Spanish culture and its queer history.
Aravani Art Project is a collective of cis and transgender women muralists active since 2016, which has toured, with paintbrushes, different cities in India and international venues such as the Venice Biennale.
On June 6th, we'll have the opportunity to meet the artists involved in the creation of the Pride Month mural, who will participate in a panel discussion moderated by Sahil Choudhary, Program Director of the New Delhi LGBTQIA+ Centre, Naz Foundation.
Following this, BB Nabi, a non-binary artist and DJ who bases his sets on magical loops, sounds of the future, and advert jingles, will offer a musical selection where everything and anything builds an enigmatic journey toward new places and intersections.
