Its diversity, its aesthetic quality, its growth and its generational polyphony are a breath of fresh air for the culture of the planet. Hence, Benengeli 2022. International Spanish Literature Week, was born with the vocation to travel the entire world. Actions with a double face-to-face and digital aspect, which can be enjoyed in Spanish, but also in English and French, this Benengeli 2022 will elaborate a joint reflection on the predominance of realism as the preponderant aesthetic of the 21st century. Thus, we can contemplate the identification of many authors with this aesthetic that aims to reflect the world from its most every day and recognizable signs, but also the nuances, the deviations, the rejections that this way of facing fictional reinvention generates. Voices from Argentina, Bolivia, Colombia, Chile, Costa Rica, Cuba, El Salvador, Spain, Guatemala, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Peru, Puerto Rico, Uruguay, and Venezuela (with special guests from Australia, India, France, Senegal, and the United States ) build a possible picture of the current literary moment and the infinite riches it possesses within the framework of the Spanish language.
During the week of 6th to 10th June, the five continents will be inhabited by imagination, reflection, the sinuosities of a writing that will show some of its most outstanding voices thanks to the networking of the Cervantes Institute in Sydney, New Delhi, Toulouse, Dakar and Chicago.
