The South

Based on a story by Adelaida García Morales, the film depicts the childhood and adolescent life of Estrella, who goes through a process of fascination for her father, a dowsing doctor, to the knowledge of her humanity which is so close to everyone and to that of many. The film affects the director's fascination with the world of cinema and had an immediate international recognition that would confirm his status as an auteur.
