The Filipino Identity

"Quijano de Manila" was a pseudonym coined by Nick Joaquin, the contemporary Filipino writer who has known best how to interpret and value the Hispanic legacy in the Archipelago. With this heading, we want to come up with a series of conferences or periodic colloquiums by Filipino intellectuals about aspects of Filipino identity with Hispanic traces. In this first videotalk, anthropologist Fernando Zialcita will talk about the Filipino identity.
