As if it were a gourmet product, Anabel Veloso presents on May 25 for the first time in the Philippines her show DELICATESSEN: sophisticated, delicate flamenco that will entice even the most exquisite palates. As it is usual in the creations of the Almeria-born artist, DELICATESSEN gives us an impeccable musical selection that will give the basis for a flamenco dance with strength, rigor, aesthetic and dramaturgical coherence. The Anabel Veloso Dance Company was set up in 2009. Anabel stands at the head of the Company with Alberto Ruiz, both former dancers of the Andalusian Dance Company, under the directorship of Cristina Hoyos, as well as doing stints with the Maria Pages Company and Joaquin Cortes Company, among others. The year 2012 saw the national recognition of the Company as it garnered the “Almeria Joven” award in the category of best international promotion by the Andalusian Youth Institute for their many international performances that took them to the Bunkamura Theatre in Tokyo or the Joyce Theatre in New York City. In 2013 the new show obtained 6 nominations at IV PAD Dance Awards, gaining national credit for this production.
