Confluencias: Melón Jiménez & Lara Wong in Concert

Instituto Cervantes invites you to this concert by the duo formed by the guitarist Melón Jiménez and the flautist and bansurista (flute from India) Lara Wong to present pieces from their new project, "Confluencias", a fusion of rhythms and melodies marked by flamenco. Melón Jiménez, a reference in the world of flamenco guitar, has accompanied artists such as Niña Pastori on guitar and has performed with Anoushka Shankar and Jorge Pardo. Lara Wong is a flautist of Canadian origin. In 2021 she was awarded the Filón minero at the prestigious Festival de Cante de las Minas, the first woman of foreign origin to win this award.
