To Return

The fourth session of the "Film Series in Altrincham" will feature a screening of the film Volver [To Return] (Pedro Almodóvar, 2006). Before the screening, a lecturer will provide an introductory presentation about the film. After the film, which will be shown with English subtitles, attendees are invited to participate in a discussion about the main themes of the movie.

Synopsis

An absurd, comic and intensely poignant melodrama about the lives of three women. After her death, a mother returns to her home town in order to try to fix the situations she couldn't resolve during her life.
