School Visits: Dance Workshop

The Instituto Cervantes Manchester offers a flamenco dance workshop, led by teacher Christine Meadows, designed for school groups visiting our facilities. This activity provides a fun, dynamic and cultural introduction to one of Spain’s greatest artistic traditions: flamenco.

Through movement, rhythm and body expression, students will learn basic steps, palmas (handclapping) and introductory marking techniques characteristic of flamenco dance, guided by a professional performer.

The aim of the workshop is to encourage creativity, teamwork and an appreciation of other cultures, offering participants an enjoyable, educational and memorable experience. No previous experience is required: just comfortable clothing, enthusiasm and plenty of energy.
