Reading... Joan Margarit

The first session will focus on the poems of Joan Margarit, distinguished with the Cervantes Prize in 2019, the Queen Sofia Prize for Ibero-American Poetry in 2019, and the National Poetry Prize in 2008, among other awards. Margarit has made a significant impact on poetic production in both Catalan and Spanish, with notable works such as Casa de Misericordia (2007), Misteriosamente feliz (2009), or Se pierde la señal (2013).

Additionally, in this session, we will have Anna Crowe, English translator of Joan Margarit in titles such as Tugs in the Fog (2006) - PBS Recommended Translation 2006-, Strangely Happy (2011), Love is a Place (2016), and Wild Creature (2021).
