The writer Ignacio Ruiz Rodriguez reveals some of the major events in the life of Philip II of Spain.

He was born in the Castilian territory of Valladolid on the 21st January 1527, Philip, who was the son of the Emperor Charles V, who crown on the 15th January 1556. However, in 1580 he would add to the monarchy the territories attached to the Portuguese Crown.

Similarly, thanks to the marriage with Mary I, between 1554 and 1558 he became King iure uxoris of England and Ireland. During his reign, King Philip enjoyed a great deal of success, but he did not last to face important challenges, such as religious problems in Europe, the military disputes with the House of Orange or Britain, as well as serious internal disagreements.
