From his sitting room, Agono Mba, a Guinean octogenarian, reminisces about his time as an expedition porter for the Madrid filmmaker Manuel Hernádez Sanjuan and his crew.

Between 1944 and 1946, they travelled around the islands and settlements of Spanish Guinea (now Equatorial Guinea) documenting the lives of the people in the colony and searching for a mysterious lake where, according to an African legend, they could see 10, 000 elephants.
