Manchester Jazz Festival: Carles Benavent

%20%20Carles%20Benavent%20was%20born%20in%20Barcelona%20on%20the%201st%20of%20March%201954.%20At%20thirteen%20years%20old%2C%20he%20formed%20his%20first%20band%20with%20Salvador%20Font%20and%20Emili%20Blaeriola%2C%20a%20jazz-rock-blues%20group%20called%20¬201CCrack¬201D.%20This%20developed%20into%20the%20group%20M%E1quina%21%2C%20marking%20a%20milestone%20in%20the%20Spanish%20vanguard%20music%20scene%20of%20the%20age.%20He%20studied%20the%20double%20base%20with%20harmony%20at%20the%20Conservatorio%20de%20Barcelona.%20During%20the%20¬201880s%20he%20played%20a%20part%20in%20Paco%20de%20Luc%EDa¬2019s%20band%2C%20with%20which%20he%20toured%20around%20Europe%2C%20America%20and%20Japan.%20In%201983%20he%20recorded%20his%20first%20solo%20album%20debuted%20with%20his%20own%20band%20at%20the%20IV%20International%20Festival%20of%20Jazz%20in%20Madrid.Since%20then%20he%20has%20collaborates%20on%20various%20albums%20with%20artist%20from%20all%20over%20the%20world%20and%20has%20played%20hundreds%20of%20concerts.%0D%0A%0D%0A%0D%0A%0D%0A%0D%0A%0D%0A%0D%0A%0D%0A%0D%0A%0D%0A%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20
