Day of the Dead Anne Bravo

Day of the Dead is one of the most important traditions of the Mexican calendar. It is a celebration that despite its name dedicates the importance of life and the memory of loved ones.

This year, we commemorate it at the Instituto Cervantes in Manchester with:

31st October (12 pm): Assembly online of the altar. Ana Hurtado, from the Mexican Consulate in Manchester, assembles the traditional altar of the "Day of the Dead" with all its elements and explains its meaning to us.

3rd November (6 pm): We present the work "Death on the Skin" by the Mexican photographer Mauricio Silerio who will talk with the specialist in Mexican folklore Magaly Flores about the importance of this tradition for the Mexican people.
