"La paradoja de Antares": Virtual Film Club

The virtual film club, Cita con el cine (Appointment with Cinema), begins its 2025 programme with the science fiction film La paradoja de Antares (The Antares Paradox), by Luis Tinoco.

The magic of this feature film with thriller undertones lies in the simplicity and intimacy shown by both the director, who sets the plot in a single room, and the magnificent performance of its leading actress, Andrea Trepat.

Synopsis

Alexandra, a scientist on duty at a radio telescope, receives a signal that could answer one of humanity's most profound questions. She only has a couple of hours to verify it, but an unexpected family problem will force her into a dramatic internal struggle in a race against time to unravel one of the greatest mysteries of the universe.

The event is moderated by staff from the Instituto Cervantes and features the participation of specialists involved in the making of the film (filmmakers, screenwriters...).
