Buñuel en el laberinto de las tortugas [Buñuel in the Labyrinth of the Turtles]

Buñuel en el laberinto de las tortugas [Buñuel in the Labyrinth of the Turtles] Salvador Simó Busom

Paris, 1930. Salvador Dalí and Luis Buñuel are leading figures of the Surrealist movement, but Buñuel finds doors closing on him after the scandalous premiere of L’Age d’Or, his first film. However, his close friend, sculptor Ramón Acín, buys a lottery ticket with the wild promise that, if he wins, he will fund the documentary Buñuel wants to make about Las Hurdes, one of the poorest and most forgotten regions of Spain.

This film tells the story of the shooting of Las Hurdes: Land Without Bread, directed by the master Luis Buñuel in the Extremadura region in 1933.
