LIPA VOZ: Luis Albert
LIPA musicians join the Spanish artist Luis Albert in concert, providing an exciting combination of cultures and sounds.
Luis Albert Segura has been at the helm of his project L.A. since 2004. That year he began his career from the small, magical stage of the now-defunct Bluesville bar in Palma de Mallorca. All the effort led him to tour the USA, Canada, Latin America, United Kingdom and part of Europe between 2012 and 2018, as well as recording albums with international companies such as Universal or Sony Music (2009 - 2018) or sharing tours and opening concerts for renowned artists such as Arcade Fire, Foo Fighters, MUSE, Placebo, Band of Horses or Franz Ferdinand, among many others. Over the years, L.A. has performed at some of the most important national and international music festivals; Reading and Leeds (UK, 2012), Corona Capital (Mexico, 2013), South By Southwest (2010 to 2016), Mad Cool, Bilbao BBK Live or Sonorama Ribera, among many others.
Throughout his career, some of L.A.'s songs have been played in commercials and films, such as 'Stop the Clocks', which after its appearance in the film 'A tres metros sobre el cielo' reached millions of people in different countries.
In 2019, Luis Albert published under his own name his first work in Spanish, Amenaza Tormenta (Sony Music), which he presented live in cities all over the country. In 2020 he released ‘Evergreen Oak’, the new album with which he announced the return of L.A. This is a very special álbum, recorded in a house in the Tramontana Mountains with his family in a kind of exile and it has been very well received by the public and the press. The album has been nominated for best non-Catalan language album by Enderrock magazine.
Currently he has been immersed in the 'Songs & Stories Tour', a show that comes from the hand of #SanMiguelOnAir and in which, accompanied by his guitars, records, books and notebooks, he will mix songs and experiences in a very intimate format shared with the public.
He has also scheduled some concerts in which he will be reunited with his full band.
