Second time

Segunda vez takes its title from the short story of the same name by Julio Cortázar and is one of four short films that form part of the Segunda Vez project, which uses the figure of the avant-garde intellectual Oscar Masotta (Buenos Aires, 1930 - Barcelona, 1979) as a catalyst for discussing art, politics and psychoanalysis. The other short films reinterpret “for the second time” the happenings that Masotta carried out in the city of Buenos Aires between 1966 and 1967. This piece is a work of metafiction. First there was Cortázar's story, and almost thirty years later came García's film. Both reflect on the reality of the disappeared in Argentina.
