ILAMS and the Instituto Cervantes London present a cycle of podcasts that bring together the life and work of some of the most representative Spanish and Ibero-American composers. By Ray Picot, CD director and concert critic at the Iberian and Latin American Music Society (ILAMS) since 2001, On this occasion, we discovered Manuel de Falla, one of the most outstanding Spanish composers of the first half of the 20th century, both for the quality of his work as for the influence it has had on his contemporaries and subsequent creators. Manuel de Falla is the most important representative of the so-called Generation of Teachers, a musical equivalent to the literary Generation of '98.
