In the second act of In Conversation series, Lucía Carballall will talk with Paula Paz. Lucía Carballal is a playwright and screenwriter. She studied Dramaturgy at RESAD and the Institut del Teatre de Barcelona. Later she was a guest student in the Studies of Scenic Writing at the Universität der Künste in Berlin and obtained a Master in Film Script and Television at the Carlos III University of Madrid. She is the creator of more than a dozen theatrical texts, including Las bárbaras - recently premiered at the National Dramatic Centre -, La resistencia - premiered at Canal Theaters and candidate for the Max 2020 Awards in the category of best theatrical authorship−, Una vida amaericana −represented at the Galileo Theater and finalist in the Max Awards for best theatrical authorship−, Los temporales −National Dramatic Centre−, A España no la va a concer ni la madre que la parió- co-authored with Víctor Sánchez Rodríguez, premiered at the Russafa Escènica Festival in Valencia and winner of the EURODRAM Award - and Mejor historia que la nuestra - premiered at the Lara Theater, finalist of the Calderón de la Barca Prize and deserving of a second prize in the Marqués de Bradomín Award -. Also, she has performed the dramaturgy of the Storywalker project: from Qingtian to Usera, creating 9 sound fictions around the Chinese community in Madrid and close collaboration with its members. In 2019 she was one of the seven European playwrights chosen by the prestigious author Simon Stephens to participate in the International Dramaturgy Meeting of the Sala Beckett in Barcelona Siete de un golpe. In parallel to her career as a theatrical author, she works as a screenwriter for film and television, with the series Vis a vis and her spin-off Vis a vis: el oasis being her most recent works −Globomedia / FOX−.
