Cita con el cine: "Atraco a las tres"

Cita con el cine: "Atraco a las tres" Instituto Cervantes

The virtual film club `Cita con el cine´ 2004 begins its programme with the comedy Atraco a las tres, directed by José María Forqué.

This magnum opus of Spanish cinema, whose line up shines from the first scene, parodies robberies of crime films which were ever so popular in North America and Italy. The director, by José María Forqué, shows, yet again, his artistry in directing actors and his profound knowledge of the elements that form this genre to make the film. It combines black humour with a strict social critique.

Synopsis: Galindo, an unhappy dreamer, works as a cashier at a local bank. One day he meets with a group of friends, and he proposes a robbery in the same bank where they all work Galindo goes on to convince them on the viability of the robbery, which they plan meticulously.

This activity is chaired by the Instituto Cervantes staff and includes experts who took part in the making of this film (cinematographers, camera operators etc) Enjoy Spanish cinema!
