Lots of kids, a monkey and a castle were Julieta Salmerón's dreams as a little girl. And she got them all. Gustavo Salmerón, better known in Spain for his work as an actor, has edited down this documentary honouring his mother from over 400 hours of footage filmed over several years. The lovable Julieta is a delightfully pragmatical woman, optimistic and somewhat extraordinary as well as eccentric- she keeps some of her grandfather's backbones and her parents' ashes and teeth at home. Salmerón's documentary debut has won him several awards among which Best Documentary at both the Goyas and Karlovy Vary and has become a box office hit in Spain thanks to word of mouth buzz.
