Performance Poetry in Spain Perforpoesia

The Instituto Cervantes in London, the University of Liverpool and the Ministerio de Cultura y Deporte de España are delighted to present ‘Performance Poetry in the 21st-Century: Innovative Social Movements in Spain’. This event will present and promote the relevance of a poetic movement that has quickly become a social phenomenon in Spain capable of attracting massive audiences. The event will bring together 3 Spanish poets poéticas (Javier Arnaiz, Silvi Orión and Pablo Cortina) as well as an editor (Miguel de la Quintana, editor of Amargord) and a scholar (Diana Cullell, Reader in Hispanic Studies at the University of Liverpool and author of La perfopoesía española en el siglo XX: una revolución poética). The event will also include performances from Spanish poets living in London and poems in English to highlight the crucial links that exist with other poetic movements in the Anglo-Saxon context.
