Rendezvous with the cinema: "Robbery at three o' clock".

The virtual film club Cita con el cine begins its 2024 programme with the comedy Atraco a las tres, by José María Forqué.

This masterpiece of Spanish cinema, whose cast shines from the very first scene, parodies the film noir heist films that were so successful in American and Italian cinema.

Its director, José María Forqué, once again demonstrates his mastery in directing actors and his profound knowledge of the tools of the genre to construct this film, which combines black humour with a social critique restricted to the parameters of the period.

Synopsis: Galindo, an unhappy dreamer, works as a teller in a bank branch. One day he gathers a group of colleagues and proposes a robbery in the branch where they all work. Galindo convinces them of the feasibility of the robbery, which they prepare meticulously.

The activity is moderated by staff from the Cervantes Institute and includes the participation of specialists linked to the making of the film (filmmakers, scriptwriters…). Enjoy cinema in Spanish!
