Football and Covid-19 in the United Kingdom ICManchester

Football is one of the many activities affected by COVID-19, with the cessation of the leagues and the subsequent uncertainty on how the end of this season will be and the beginning of the next one. Some countries have decided to cancel their championships, while others such as Germany's Bundesliga have resumed behind closed doors, taking the risks involved. The Premier League has decided to be more cautious and, although the teams have returned to training and the organisation has confirmed that competition will return on 17th June, discussions are still ongoing as to how and by what measures it should return.

The Instituto Cervantes in Manchester and Leeds would like to analyse this new situation in English football in a round table with specialists such as lecturer Karl McLaughlin, former player Adolfo Aldana, intermediary Raúl García (Promosport UK) and Leeds United's director of football Víctor Orta. The round table will be moderated by coach Ángel López Pérez.
