Reading Club: Tristana Club de lectura

A new edition of our Reading Club is starting!  The workshop is aimed at any Spanish speaker who has a minimum knowledge of the language (Intermediate 1 and  beyond) who likes reading and is also interested in the different expressions and issues of Hispanic culture.             

On this occasion, the workshop will be focus in the Reading and analysis of “Tristana”, written Benito Pérez Galdós in 1892 y cinematographically adapted in 1970 by Luis Buñuel.           

The aims for this workshop are to identify the main characteristics and the topics associated to one of the most representative writers of the realistic literature in Spain in the XIX century, to analyse “Tristana” and to debate it´s main moral and aesthetic topics and to explore and understand the historical and sociocultural context in Spain, particularly in Madrid in the XIX century.
