¡VAMOS! Leeds Festival: ORTIGA live perfomance

¡VAMOS! Leeds Festival: ORTIGA live perfomance Ernie Producciones

The ¡VAMOS! Festival is a celebration of the Spanish and Portuguese (Iberophone) cultures. It is the only festival in the north east of England that celebrates the culture of both Spain, Portugal and Iberoamerica and in various cities across the northeast of UK - Newcastle, Liverpool and, of course, Leeds. On July 21st 2019 !VAMOS¡ returns once again – now in its fifth year in Leeds – with a varied programme that includes colourful live music acts, dance workshops and performances, family friendly activities and delicious Latin American street food and drink! All of this will take place in Millennium Square, in the heart of the city. The Leeds Instituto Cervantes is supporting the !VAMOS¡ Festival by inviting the Spanish Band ORTIGA to play.

ORTIGA is the solo project of Chicho, one half of the Spanish hit act ´Esteban & Manuel´. The unique sound of ORTIGA combines pop, cumbia, salsa and electronic beats. For his inspiration are the diverse influences ranging from Rubén Blades, the Panorama Orchestra, Metallica, Bad Bunny, Juan Luis Guerra, Rolando Bruno, the Miami Sound Machine, Omar Souleyman, Benny Moré or a gypsy with a trumpet and his goat.
