Orquesta de Cambra Catalana (OCC, or Catalan Chamber Orchestra as per its initials in Catalan) was founded by Joan Pàmies in 1986. To date, it has offered more than 600 concerts and has performed at some of the most prominent venues, series and music festivals in Spain. They have also travelled to Albania, France, Italy, Poland, Czech Republic, Argentina, Chile, Mexico, Uruguay, Lebanon, Tunisia and China.

Joan Pàmies was born in Valladolid, city where he completed his musical studies, which he continued in Barcelona and later complemented with periods in Brussels, Stuttgart and Madrid. His career has revolved around the instrumental performance, being a professor and conducting choral and orchestral ensembles.

Marta Arbonés, Soprano. Winner of the Callosa d’en Sàrria competition and of the Ciudad de Segorbe Award. She has interpreted zarzuela and other operatic shows and has performed in prestigious venues mostly in Spain, Germany and Italy.
Joan Espina, Violin. Originally from Mollerussa (Spain) he commenced his musical studies in his hometown. Subsequently he studied at the Municipal Conservatory of Barcelona and at the Queen Sofía College of Music, in Madrid. He has played at many piano recitals and along other chamber groups in events all over Spain, France, Belgium, Bulgaria, USA, Haiti, El Salvador, Palestine and South Africa. From 2006 he is a member of the Spanish National Orchestra.

The Catalan Chamber Orchestra performs selected works by classic Catalan composers from 20th Century like Toldrà, Casals, Montsalvatge and Cervelló. Their repertoire will open with a piece by Irish composer S. Bodley.
