A Galician Music Concert by Uxía: Alalás e cantares da terra

Uxía's music draws from the richness of Galician folk and singer-songwriter traditions. With a long career and twelve albums released since 1986, she has been part of groups such as Na Lúa and has shared the stage with Amália Rodrigues and María del Mar Bonet. Uxía is recognised for her work in disseminating Galician poetry, renewing traditional music and fusing it with other Lusophone cultures. With the album Estou vivindo no ceo (1995), recognised by European critics as one of the best albums of that year, she embarked on an international tour with performances in Germany, Austria, Italy, Scotland, Cuba and Argentina. In 2022 she released a joint album with singer-songwriter Javier Ruibal in which they set poems by Rosalía de Castro and Federico García Lorca to music.
