La buena estrella (The Good Star)

The penultimate work of Ricardo Franco depicts a drama in three voices: those of its three main characters —played by Maribel Verdú, Antonio Resines and Jordi Mollà—, who star in a breathless story. From the perspective of marginalisation —a recurring theme in the cinema of the eighties and later— and the reflection on life as a constant connection and dedication- to others, , the love triangle of the three characters recalls the claustrophobia of closed environments. The family life and its destruction permeate an impossible daily life, where the drive for life and death is stronger than the survival of their individuals.
