Family

Family is a 1996 comedy that deals with the need to have an ideal family. The film is directed by Fernando León de Aranoa, director of other successful films such as Mondays in the sun (2002) and Princesses (2005).

The story starts with Santiago´s birthday, the father. Everybody wishes him happy birthday and gives him presents. At that point his wrath towards his children and his unhappiness comes to the forefront.

The film received the following awards: Best New Director at the 1997 Goya Awards, Best Actor (Juan Luis Galiardo) at the Miami Film Festival.
