Action, comedy, animation, doc, fiction– expect this and more from Short Shorts from Europe Film Festival – a selection of European short films of 12 member countries of EUNIC Ireland, in which the Instituto Cervantes and AECID present the Spanish short film “Si me querei, irse” by director Sofía Muñoz.
Let Austria, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Malta, Poland, Portugal, Slovenia and Spain entertain you with a variety of genres from contemporary, cutting-edge filmmakers. Cork International Film Festival and TUS Limerick School of Art and Design will also present short films from Ireland on the programme.
After the screening, we invite the audience to vote for their favourite short.

Synopsis - Si me querei, irse
Juana makes paella, as she does every Sunday, surrounded by her family. However, the news of her husband’s retirement turn yet another celebration into a heavy burden.
Sofía Muñoz (Madrid, Spain, 12/11/1998). She graduated in 2020 in Political Science at the UCM with the Final Degree Project “Representations of bodies and women in the films of Agnès Varda and Chantal Akerman. A geographic-political analysis”, and moved to Barcelona to do a Master’s Degree in Directing at ESCAC. She has worked as a Production Assistant in the film No voy a pedir a nadie que me crea, produced by NETFLIX Spain with ZETA Studios. Her Master’s Final Project, the short film Si me querei, irse is her first professional project as a director.
