Pepi, Luci, Bom y otras chicas del montón

Pepi, Luci, Bom y otras chicas del montón Iván Zulueta

Forty-three years after its premiere at the the Seville Festival, we present the first commercial film by Pedro Almodóvar, starring Carmen Maura, Alaska and other members of the Madrid underground scene at that time, such as Fanny McNamara, Cecilia Roth, Ricardo Franco or Ceesepe.

Inspired by punk ideology, this debut feature captures the spirit of the first years of the movida in Madrid, a key stage in Spanish history due to the emergence of freedoms and avant-garde attitudes that took place in it. This story about three girls who live in Madrid has become over the years, a true cult film all over the world.

Post-screening talk with Olvido Gara (Alaska) and Luisa Castro, Director of the Instituto Cervantes in Dublin.
