Flamenco Dance, beginners: Tangos de Málaga

Get ready to feel the duende! Join our Tangos de Málaga workshop for beginners and discover the origins and influences of this vibrant palo, tracing its journey from deepest Spain to Caribbean rhythms. You'll learn and choreograph the Tangos del Piyayo, a unique style born from Piyayo's migration to Cuba, who upon his return fused flamenco with Hispanic-American sounds.

No prior experience is needed—just a desire to dance and connect with the passion of flamenco! You will learn the techniques paying attention to posture, arm movement, footwork and body expression, in order to acquire a basic level.

Classes: October 8, 22, and 29; November 5, 12, 19, and 26; December 3.

Sandra Palomar, a professional dancer from Motril, Granada, has a solid career in flamenco. A regular teacher at the Cervantes Institute in Dublin, she holds a degree in Sports Science and is also a certified Yoga and Pilates instructor.
