Submersible

Submersible Alfredo León León

Three men are trapped inside a small, cramped, makeshift sub on the verge of sinking. Against their bosses’ instructions, they decide to open the cargo hold to distribute their precious shipment throughout the ship to balance it. Alongside the 10 tons of cocaine, they find two girls gagged and bound, one of them dead. What was already a bad situation is now made worse by the disputes and fights among the three men, the continuing mechanical failures and the surviving girl’s plans to escape. Alfredo León León’s second feature (his first, “Open Wounds,” was an official selection of the 31st Chicago Latino Film Festival) is a tense, nerve-wracking tale about survival of the fittest.
