It is the first creative documentary film that reached commercial theaters with a resounding public success. Synopsis: A young Spanish director is sacked from his job as television scriptwriter. In the pursue of making his dream of becoming a film director come true, he travels to India with the intention of filming his first feature film. Soon he discovers that what he is really looking for is not in India, but in Madrid. "Mapa" is a "diary-film", halfway between fiction and documentary, shot over several years with a very limited budget. It narrates in the first person perspective situations of the director's daily life, whilst it reflects on the nature of cinema and its capacity to allow us to know ourselves
