González Byass winery tasting with Claire Henderson, sherry educator

Join González Byass for a journey through Spain by the hand of the best Spanish wines. Begin with a cava from the cosmopolitan city of Barcelona, followed by a crisp Verdejo from Rueda, a classic Rioja Reserva and a Garnacha from 100 year old vines. Finishing with a smooth sweet sherry from the home of González Byass Jerez de la Frontera. Born in Scotland, Claire obtained a First-Class Honours degree in International Business and Modern Languages majoring in Marketing and Spanish. After studying for one year in the south of Spain, Claire joined González Byass as part of the International team in the headquarters in Jerez de la Frontera where she became fluent in Spanish. Following 10 years as part of the International team in a variety of roles involving all González Byass’ Spanish brands, Claire transferred to González Byass USA based in Chicago as Senior Brand Manager looking after all González Byass USA brands. Claire fell in love with wine during her time spent in Jerez and after working closely with the Master Blender Antonio Flores and obtaining her Sherry Educator certification and a number of courses with the DO Jerez she is now a Sherry expert. In addition, she obtained her WSET Advanced level and is hoping to go on to study WSET Diploma.
