Join us in Chicago for an immersive five-day flamenco dance intensive designed for dedicated dancers seeking to strengthen technique, expand artistic vocabulary, and deepen their understanding of flamenco structure and improvisation. This intensive offers focused training through three distinct yet complementary workshops: Dance Technique, Choreography, and Bulerías Structure & Improvisation.
Each workshop may be taken individually or as part of a discounted package.
Flamenco Dance Technique (5 sessions)
Weekday Classes: 7:00–8:00 p.m.
Saturday & Sunday: 11:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m.
This workshop is dedicated to strengthening and refining flamenco dance technique. Classes will focus on posture, alignment, footwork clarity and power, coordination, arms and upper body movement, musical precision, and overall efficiency of movement. Ideal for dancers who want to build a strong technical foundation and improve control, stamina, and confidence.
Flamenco Dance Choreography (5 sessions)
Weekday Classes: 8:15–9:15 p.m.
Saturday & Sunday: 12:45–1:45 p.m.
In this workshop, dancers will learn exciting, dynamic flamenco choreography designed to challenge, inspire, and elevate their dancing. Emphasis will be placed on applying technique within choreography, musicality, stylistic clarity, transitions, and expressive intention. Dancers will gain tools for retaining choreography and performing it with confidence and authenticity.
Bulerías Structure & Improvisation - 2-Day Intensive
February 21 & 22 only | 1:30–2:45 p.m.
This focused workshop explores the structure of bulerías, providing dancers with a clear understanding of compás, phrasing, llamadas, cierres, and remates. Dancers will learn how structure supports improvisation, helping them move beyond memorization toward confident, informed decision-making in both class and performance settings.
