Let's travel with Antón Pombo

Let's travel with Antón Pombo Antón Pombo

Antón Pombo was born in A Coruña, and has lived in Corcubión, on the Galician Costa da Morte, since 2006. He considers himself a lover of Galicia, which does not contradict his condition of being an inveterate traveler. A pilgrim to Santiago for the first time in 1984, he has traveled the Camino de Compostela many times in Spain, France, Italy and Portugal, becoming a reference and the highest authority in Spain in this field.

He has published with Anaya Touring the most complete and prestigious guides to accompany any “caminante (traveller/walker)” on the many pilgrim routes to Santiago: the French, Portuguese, Winter, Aragonese, Navarrese... He has also published works of the same genre on the Azores Islands and Galicia, and he plans to include editing the diary of his first pilgrimage and advance on his incipient novel about the Camino.

He was awarded the Aymeric Picaud International Prize for his research and dissemination of Jacobean values, being one of the actors of the rebirth of the pilgrimage in the 80s of the 20th century.

The professor and journalist Fernando Castiñeiras will coordinate the interviews.
