Rocío Márquez live in Amman

Born in Huelva 1985, with 9 years she took the stage for the first time, she graduated with Musical Education from the University of Sevilla. At the same time she was participating in festivals, until she received the “Lámpara Minera” award in 2008 in the world´s most important annual flamenco festival: the ¨Cante de las Minas¨ Festival. She has a master degree in Advanced Studies of Flamenco, and she presented her doctoral thesis about the Vocal Technique of Flamenco.

Rocío Márquez knows well the classic singing, but she performs it in her style, with respect and and by right. She is requested in festivals and theaters around the world. Her performance captivates the audience everywhere. “El País” newspaper wrote: “Her creative work is unstoppable”, “Rocío Márquez is the singer that wants to bring flamenco to the university”.

With her three albums in her credit: “Claridad” (Clarity) (2012) for which she received various awards with great importance, “El niño” (The kid) (2014), and her latest album ¨Firmamento¨ (firmament) (2017), with which she broke the clichés of this type.
