Os fillos da vide (The Children of the Vine)

The culture around wine has a primal tradition in the Mediterranean culture. The economy stemming from wine comes together with some rituals that allude to the importance of the community in its communication with nature and the celebration of life. The strong bet of the director Ana Domínguez highlights all the visual elements that make up a consciousness that escapes rationality to raise another kind of knowledge: the knowledge that nature offers. 

Synopsis: The director Ana Domínguez gives us an insight into her origins through this movie where she shows the grape harvest process in a small Galician village. The wine culture becomes an ancient trip that circulates between autobiographic and mystical elements, from natural cycles to visceral traditions, local festivities that, like a reflection of, turn into an explosion of life.
